General Motors, US , was the global leader in automobiles for over three decades till 2006. But things started changing rapidly since then, and GM not only lost its leadership, but also started losing money. And it was losing in billions of dollars of every month.
That forced it into bankruptcy filing two months back, and yesterday it has officially come out of the bankruptcy proceedings, with a totally new face.
The new GM will have fewer workers, fewer executives, fewer brands and also fewer factories. The Head of new GM Henderson has said that business as usual is over for GM , and it will emerge stronger in the coming years through totally new approach to business and customers.
