Data fails to predict Nashville floods

The flood level of a major river was underestimated by the flood forecasters for the National weather Service. The major river was the Nashville which had the May floods and been underestimated by the inadequate data.The inadequate data was given by the US Army Corps of Engineers and had released a report related on Wednesday. The two models was ignored which had showed more more accurate flood predictions for the river called Cumberland.

The model had revealed a inaccurate information which was untimely for the farmers and their crops. Despite of the observations the data formed was wrong but the weather service was followed about the flood predictions. Weather service however failed to warn about the major flooding of the Nash ville until the flood affected the region. The flood warnings was late and many resi dents who did not respond and reflect the urgency of the situation.

The rain cannot be stopped but the warning given could have warned the people and protect them from floods. On the Wednesday statement Democratic Rep said a few warnings could have saved lives of many people and save the damage. The May 2 report was reported on Early Sunday reported about the officials who provided the weather services of the Ohio report. The water level was about 45 feet and above at the downtown of Nashville said the Weather Forecast report.

Campaigners who say they were sexually abused by Catholic priests as children have demanded “action not words” from the Pope.

They plan to compile messages to the Pope in a book to give to him during his visit to Scotland and England.

The campaigners want a statutory inquiry into clergy sex abuse, pastoral care and funding to support victims.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference said the church in England and Wales has put in place measures to protect children.

Pope Benedict XVI is due to arrive on 16 September for a four-day visit.

US Obama administration has taken deportation for illegal students in US. A number of immigrants who are convicted to crimes are under deportation but one group is spared. The children who came into Unites States without any papers and are now students are spared. If the immigrant students are identified as illegally staying in US by the federal agents. The students are released from detention and deportations were canceled said the immigrant advocates.
There are 7,00,000 illegal immigrants who will become eligible for a legal status if the bill is passed. The bill even confirms the age of the students when they are high school graduates and their age must be 16 when they reached US. No formal change in the plan was made for the students to stay said the department of homeland security officials. The illegal migrant issue has been under pressure for a long time because many migrants have protested for passage.
The legislation would be supported by lawmakers who have asked to prevent the student deportation until congress takes. Any action will weaken the enforcement against the illegal immigrants feel many Republicans. However Obama administration have accelerated the pace of deportations of immigration enforcement overall.

Malta’s town mayor has decided to remove the phallic art before pope’s visit. The sculpture is situated near the road leading to the capital Valletta. Pope’s visit is ahead of the weekend and the removal was decided on Monday. The mayor John Schembri described the sculpture as obscene and embarrassing.

The mayor said the removal shows the sign of respect to pope’s. The sculpture is called as Colonna Mediterranaea and the artist is Paul Vella Criterien. The sculptor is installed in the entrance of the village of Luqa on a round about. The residents of catholic Malta have already opposed the sculpture being there.
