Now a Pill to tell you whether you have taken a medicine or not ?
Many people have the habit of forgetting to take medicine in time. Engineers have come out with a pill which sends signals whether you have taken your medicine or not. The researchers were from the University of Florida and the lead scientist is Rizwan Bashirullah. The pill designed contains a small microchip and a digestible antenna.
The pill when taken is a mass produced pills and when ingested automatically alerts. The pill helps to monitor a patient whether he had medicines or not.The pill was tested in two different aspects. The first part of the capsule contains standard white capsule coated with label. The label consists of embossed silvery lines the lines compromise antennas. The second part has a microchip the pill when swallowed communicates with the second element of the system.
The second element yet needs to be decided it can be a watch or a mobile. The pill doesn’t need any battery as the pill receives power from imperceptible burst which is lowest electricity. The burst can energize the chip and the chip can send the signal necessary. The pill is being tested successfully in a artificial human models. The stomach acids break down the traces which are left down behind.
